A33 Asti–Cuneo Motorway: second launch on the SP7 Viaduct and progress along the route

During the night between November 10 and 11, the second steel deck of the SP7 Viaduct in Verduno, in the direction of Cuneo, was successfully launched. With a span of 50.10 meters and a total weight of approximately 220 tons, the preassembled deck was lifted by an 800-ton crane and positioned through a slow rotation at height. As with the first launch, the deck was installed with the metal slabs (predalles) already in place to minimize interference with traffic during the subsequent completion phases.

At the same time, significant progress has been made on finishing works: more than one kilometer of the new section, connecting to Lot II.6b, has already been completed with paving, safety barriers, and acoustic barriers.

Environmental sustainability also remains a key focus: recycled materials (MPS) and aggregates obtained from cold milling of existing pavements continue to be reused for embankment construction and base layers of bituminous conglomerate.

Additionally, on October 7, archaeological investigations near the Tanaro 4 Bridge were completed, revealing a settlement dating back to the late Bronze Age and early Iron Age, as well as a Roman necropolis from the 1st century AD.Resta aggiornato e non perderti le nostre news.
