Joint venture partecipated by Itinera awarded the lot n.3 of the TELT, Turin-Lion tunnel

On 7 July 2021, the BoD of TELT (Tunnel Euralpin Lyon Turin) gave the green light to sign the contracts for the construction of the base tunnel in France, divided into 3 Lots.

The joint venture led by IMPLENIA and composed of Itinera, NGE and Rizzani de Eccher has been awarded Lot 3, which consists in the construction of a tunnel of 3 km between Saint-Julien-Montdenis and Saint-Martin-la-Porte. The lot, worth 228 million euro, will take about 70 months to complete.

The Turin-Lyon line is a fundamental section of the Mediterranean Corridor, which allows trains to travel through the Alps at the level of the plain, thus significantly facilitating the transition from road transportation to rail transportation, with remarkable environmental and economic savings.
