Description
The project, commissioned by ANAS and awarded to the Consorzio Eteria in joint venture with Cimolai – of which Itinera is a member – involves the construction of the new Ponte dei Congressi in Rome, along with the related infrastructure and environmental works. The intervention is part of the strategic programme to enhance urban mobility in the capital, with the aim of improving connections between the EUR district, the Magliana area and the Rome–Fiumicino motorway, while also contributing to the redevelopment of the Tiber river valley. The project is distinguished by its high technical complexity and the variety of planned works, including a 259-metre arch bridge, 16 viaducts, 2 tunnels and 3 underpasses, as well as the reconfiguration of the Magliana bridge to four lanes and the development of cycle and pedestrian paths. The intervention also incorporates solutions designed to improve accessibility and enhance the urban and environmental context.
