Science Based Targets

Itinera Group, aligning itself with the Holding ASTM, confirms its commitment to be at the forefront of energy transition and fight against climate change by setting greenhouse gas emissions reduction targets on a scientific basis.

There are two GHG emissions reduction targets by 2030 approved by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi):

  • -44% Scope 1 e Scope GHG emissions 2MB (baseline 2020) at 2026
  • -54% Scope 1 e Scope GHG emissions 2MB (baseline 2020) at 2030

Our road to a sustainable future:

  • Efficiency in heating – We replace gas and oil heating systems with high-efficiency, low-carbon solutions, such as condensing systems or heat pumps, where building conditions allow.
  • Sustainable mobility – The renewal of our vehicle fleet results in the introduction of electric and hybrid cars and the installation of related charging stations, as well as the promotion of low-emission and bio fuels.
  • Renewable energy – We purchase energy from renewable sources and install photovoltaic panels to increase energy self-sufficiency, aiming toward sustainable energy independence.
  • Monitoring and control – A continuous monitoring system for energy consumption and CO2 emissions allows us to have a clear view of our impact and work to continuously improve it.
  • Staff training – Training of our staff is aimed at promoting conscious and rational use of energy, with the goal of optimizing consumption and eliminating waste.

The Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi)

SBTi, an independent international organization born from the collaboration between CDP (formerly Carbon Disclosure Project), the United Nations Global Compact, the World Resources Institute (WRI) and the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF), promotes best practices and verifies the alignment of companies’ decarbonization targets with the indications of the Paris Agreement.
