The University of Turin‘s “City of Science and the Environment” is born, a new ecosystem for innovation in Italy, a civil construction project among the most important ever realized at a national level
On Thursday 8 July 2021, the groundbreaking ceremony took place at Grugliasco (TO) and marks the beginning of the works of the new university campus that will welcome 10,000 users and will includes 22,000 m2 of classrooms for teaching, 47,500 m2 of research space, 7,300 m2 of space for sports activities and 7,200 m2 of space for socialising, as well as a 40,000 m2 urban park.
The execution of the work, with a total cost of approximately €160 million, was entrusted to Itinera S.p.A and Euroimpianti S.p.A., companies of the ASTM Group, in consortium with Costruzioni Gilardi S.p.A..
