Itinera at the Made in Italy Day in Sweden

On April 15, Itinera celebrated Made in Italy Day in Sweden, whose theme for 2024 was “Insights into the Future of the industrial sector: Industry: Italian expertise and key partnerships in Sweden.”

The all-day event aimed to highlight and strengthen the cooperation between the two countries. In the morning, the Italian ambassador Michele Pala with his staff visited the Itinera construction site located in the municipality of Solna, related to the construction of a new section of the Stockholm metro. The Solna Metro project has now progressed closer to two-thirds since it began in 2021. More than 3,300 meters of tunnel have been excavated, with still about 2,000 remaining before the completion in 2026.

In the afternoon then Itinera, along with other Italian companies established in Sweden that took part in the initiative, participated in the scheduled conference bringing its testimony. The title of the speech of Lars Henriksen, our Area Manager Sweden, “Combining the best from Italy with the best from Sweden” well summarizes Itinera’s approach to the Swedish construction market.
